For anyone who knows me or reads my blog you'd be aware how much I love wooden rather than plastic, here are a few of the girls favourite wooden toys...

This gorgeous creation is what Neal made the girls for Christmas! He used an old desk as the base ($10 from a church sale), brass tapes ($5 from a junk shop), stainless bowl from my mum, paint $30, knobs from our old draws, oven handle $8, I made the curtain and the material element (material $2). So the whole thing cost about $55 (and a whole lot of time!)  The girls are having so much fun with it, so cute watching them using there imaginations (shaking an old pot on the element "we're making pop-corn mummy!"
